Day 1 – Level 1 Emergency Medicine Ultrasound
Develop essential ultrasound skills for emergency and acute care practice, including:
* Introduction to Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS)
* Basic ultrasound physics and image optimisation
* eFAST examination for trauma
* Assessment of abdominal and thoracic emergencies
* Cardiac ultrasound fundamentals
* Ultrasound-guided vascular access
* Hands-on supervised scanning sessions
Day 2 – Ultrasound-Guided Regional Nerve Blocks
Learn how ultrasound can improve the safety and effectiveness of regional anaesthesia techniques.
Topics include:
* Principles of ultrasound-guided nerve blocks
* Identification of nerves and surrounding anatomy
* Needle visualisation techniques
* Upper limb nerve blocks
* Lower limb nerve blocks
* Pain management applications in Emergency Medicine
* Extensive hands-on practice with expert faculty
